Little Black Book for Strong Black Women
2010 Media Release
Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women’s Legal Centre is excited to announce that we will be reprinting the Little Black Book for Strong Black Women!
The Little Black Book was last printed in 2007 and the book was so popular that we don’t have any copies left! Most of the Little Black Book is going to stay just the same, so it will be a diary for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and girls, with information about domestic and family violence, sexual assault, important information and other useful organisations.
Wirringa Baiya would like to collect artwork, poetry, writing and stories from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women living in NSW so if you would like to share your story, you can contact us now.
The 2010 Little Black Book for Strong Black Women will be reprinted in time for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence which starts on 25 November 2009. We will be launching the Little Black Book during the 16 Days so look out for local events in your community to make sure you get a copy of the Little Black Book for Strong Black Women.
If you’d like more information about the Little Black Book, or need legal advice, please contact Wirringa Baiya on 1800 686 587 or 02 9569 3847.
