Governing Committee

The Governing Committee continues to align the key principles and values of the organisation by being a voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

Wirringa Baiya is governed by an Aboriginal and gender specific Governing Committee. The Governing Committee consists of Aboriginal women who represent the communities they come from, live in and work in. Governing Committee members have firsthand knowledge and experience, and are experts in a number of areas that impact and affect Aboriginal women, children and communities. All members have an excellent sense of community and knowledge of what the issues are from a grassroots level, whilst understanding the systemic issues faced by our communities.
